The mild mannered guy
Who steps into a car
Turns with a sigh
And a look from afar
Into a demon
With red burning eyes
Foot to the floor
This car seems alive
With this guy at the wheel
It's unlikely we'll survive
I pray for intervention
A guardian angel's my intention
When death comes
It may be sweet
But I don't want to die
My life's not yet complete
A flash of the lights
A beep of the horn
Another one cuts in
And more terror is born
Be calm is the term
That floats around
But horrible thoughts
Are likely abound
He can't get away
He's done me such wrong
With the ultimate price
We'll both go, so long
Yet this red mist
Finally slips away
The nightmare has ended
If only for another day
As he steps out of the car
In the cold light of day
His thoughts go to a life
Which he could never repay
The murderous hate
He can't quite believe
It's almost surreal
But his heart skipped a beat
But this story must end
And a warning is given
To fear the red demon
Is the only way to beat 'im
If you go on the road
Take a leaf from my book
"Let them go, let them go"
Said the ghost who undertook.
